College Information:
Carlow College was originally founded in 1782 and is one of Ireland's oldest educational institutions. Having previously operated primarily as a seminary, the college is best known nowadays for its courses in Humanities and Social Studies. The college is located centrally in Carlow town.
Graduates of Carlow College find employment in education, community work, the civil service, media and social care. A high percentage of students also proceed to postgraduate studies in areas such as Philosophy, English, History, Theology and Social Studies.
