College
A fantastic college with very dedicated and enthusiastic staff. A little on the old fashioned side of things in the old building but this has been countered by the exceptional new faclities.
An extremely friendly place! I would and do most certainly recommend it to others.
Area of Study
Bachelor of Education for primary teaching was my area of study.
My favourite thing about the course was the enthusiastic and dedicated lecturers along with the plentiful opportunities of teaching practice.
It is a taxing course and not to be chosen lightly. However, it is an really well delivered course.
Campus Facilities
Campus facilities have improved so much since I was there. I can't comment on these.
Accommodation
I did not live in the on campus accommodation. I would not recommend this. Very small rooms with few cooking facilities and little freedom.
City Life/Social Scene
I loved Limerick city. I would recommend Limerick as a city to study in in a heartbeat! Lots to do, particularly if you are sporty. Great nightlife too.
Student Services
This was not something I was particularly involved with.
Clubs and Societies
A huge effort was made by students to have a good range of clubs and societies available to the students in the college.
Sports Facilities
Huge development in sports facilities. I still feel the gym is quite small and confined. Track and pitch are fabulous.

College
It's a very close knit community at Mary I. The atmosphere is friendly and I my opinion is was the best option for someone looking for a career in Primary Teaching.
Area of Study
I enjoyed my area of study. Because the classes are smaller than other colleges you will have more interaction in lectures. While Teaching is a very good career to get into, you may need to have patience when it comes to getting a full time position!
Campus Facilities
Unsurprisingly, the facilities wouldn't be as good as those at the likes of UL, however for a small college with such a central location the campus caters pretty well for students needs. While I was there the facilities were constantly being developed, so I expect the campus as improved further in the past 4/5 years.
Accommodation
Plenty of choice. On campus accommodation (which I'd recommend for all 1st years) and there is loads of options close to the college as well in terms of private renting.
City Life/Social Scene
Limerick is a vibrant city with a great nightlife. Mary I is right in the city and so students have everything they need just on their doorstep.
